795) Stella Dìaz Varìn

Stella Díaz Varín (1926 – 2006) also known as 'La Colorina' (The Redhead). Chilean poet of the Generation of '50. Her unprecedented deep and philosophical style, as well as his controversial personality, marked a before and after in Chilean poetry.

726) Matilde Urrutia

Matilde Urrutia (1912 – 1985). Third wife of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, from 1966 until his death in 1973. They met in Santiago in 1946, when she was working as a physical therapist in Chile. She was the first woman in Latin America to work as a pediatric therapist. Urrutia was the inspiration behind Neruda's later love poems beginning with Los versos del capitan in 1951, which the poet withheld publication until 1961 to spare the feelings of his previous wife; as well as 100 love sonnets which includes a beautiful dedication to her.

236) Hugh Judson Kilpatrick

Hugh Judson Kilpatrick (1836 - 1881). Officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War, achieving the rank of brevet major general. He was later the United States Minister to Chile, and a failed political candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Patricio Lynch (1825 - 1886). Lieutenant in the Royal Navy and a Rear Admiral in the Chilean Navy, and one of the principal figures of the later stages of the War of the Pacific.

199) Bernardo O'Higgins

Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme (1778 - 1842). Chilean independence leader who freed Chile from Spanish rule in the Chilean War of Independence.

He was a wealthy landowner of Spanish and Irish ancestry. Although he was the second Supreme Director of Chile (1817–1823), he is considered one of Chile's founding fathers, as he was the first holder of this title to head a fully independent Chilean state.

29) Catalina de los Ríos y Lisperguer

Catalina de los Ríos y Lisperguer (1604 – 1665), Chilean landowner and murderer.
