797) John MacBride

John MacBride (sometimes written John McBride; 1868 –1916). Irish republican and military leader executed by the British for his participation in the 1916 Irish Easter Rising in Dublin.
In 1903 he married Maud Gonne and the following year they had a son, Seàn. They separated in 1905.
