Catherine Elizabeth Macready Perugini (née Dickens; 1839 – 1929).
Daughter of charles Dickens and wife of the artist Charles Edward
Perugini. She became a successful painter of portraits and genre
paintings, sometimes collaborating with Perugini. She started exhibiting
her works at the Royal Academy shows in 1877. As a girl, she bore the
nickname "Lucifer Box" for her hot temper.
Her first husband was the painter and writer Charles Allston Collins.
