65) Esau

Esau. Older son of Isaac and Rebekah and twin brother of Jacob. He is the progenitor of the Edomites.

- Genesis 25.25: "Now the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau."

As in the case of David, we cannot be sure whether red (admoni) refers to his hair or to his skin complexion. However, if he was covered with hair, one couldn't see if his skin was red or any other colour.
